MUSICIANS BRINGING MUSICIANS HOME VI
The “Musicians Bringing Musicians Home" benefit concert is the celebratory finale of a three-day artist activism retreat that brings musicians from around the country to New Orleans. Part of the program is dedicated to meeting with local musicians, tradition bearers and community organizers to learn and see from the people of New Orleans. All proceeds from the concert go to Sweet Home New Orleans - www.sweethomeneworleans.org
This years concert will feature the New Orleans staple, Bonerama as well as acclaimed folk musician Jill Sobule, indie rocker Thao Nguyen (Thao with the Get Down Stay Down), Lollapalooza veterans and Blind Pilot members Israel Nebeker & Ryan Dobrowski, jazz saxophonist and composer Matana Roberts, and many more.
The concert will be held at One Eyed Jacks (615 Toulouse Street) on Friday, March 26, 2010 (Doors 10pm; Show 10:30pm).
